ABOUT US

“Zealous” and “Relentless”

Our firm’s practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense and plaintiffs’ civil litigation in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and across the nation. Most of our clients in recent years have been and are individuals and companies in the health care industry. We also represent a wide range of other clients, including current and former U.S. and foreign government officials facing federal investigations or charges.

Described as “zealous” and “relentless,” we will fight for you when it matters most. Our case load is limited by design, allowing us to give extensive and personalized attention to each client. We have obtained favorable resolutions in many high-stakes matters, and some of our biggest successes involve no publicity. Our experience includes defending against criminal charges and prosecuting civil RICO matters involving offenses such as the following:

Healthcare
Fraud
Tax
Fraud
Money
Laundering
Conspiracy
Bribery
Public
Corruption

WORK

Recent Work

We handle matters of all sizes and often collaborate with other law firms when representations require reviewing a large number of documents. Much of our recent work has involved representing clients in the health care industry in investigations and prosecutions by top federal law enforcement agencies.

One of Josh’s most impressive wins, featured by NPR, involved getting a criminal case dismissed with prejudice based on government misconduct — an extraordinary victory that helped the client, who was maliciously prosecuted and wrongfully convicted despite being innocent, avoid ever being sentenced.

For other examples of the types of matters that our firm handles, see Josh’s and Leesa’s bios.
